(Issue 4, 2017) Last week, my friend circle was swiped by various sources in Davos. This is because, on the one hand, China has sent the largest delegation ever. On the other hand, Davos has attached increasing importance to China’s participation. It is reported that in previous years the Davos Forum crashed with the Chinese New Year and the top Chinese leaders once “missed” Davos because of the Spring Festival. The current global forum, if not China, is unworthy of the name. As a result, the Davos Forum formally decided in 2013 to adjust its duration to avoid a collision with the Spring Festival and to ensure that Chinese leaders show up.
