Colombia, which is considered to be the largest exporter of cocaine, intends to turn to a much less harmful business - exotic butterflies. The country’s Ministry of Commerce signed a decree to promote the export of live butterflies and butterfly cocoon. The Colombians export about 500 tons of cocaine every year, most of which are sold to the United States. But this South American nation, with its vast Andean and lush jungles, is home to nearly 3,000 species of butterflies.
