广东省郁南县,位于西江中游南岸,境内山峦叠嶂,翠林郁密,景色宜人。郁南有许多苍劲挺拔的参天古树,无论建国前后,出于众所周知的原因,这些古树都曾经遭遇过诸多灾难。幸得山民有乡规民约在手,爱树护林成风,使这些百年古树得以保存至今,而且生长得姿态各异,雄奇壮观。在旧县城西颈社有樟树二株,树龄600余年,树干径围5米,高20米,两树相距1.5米。主干并斜而出,均在6～7米高处生长出
