Objective To investigate the expression of NET-1, FHIT and Ki-67 in gastric adenocarcinoma and to observe the influence of the three expressions on the prognosis of patients. Methods Eighty-eight cases of primary gastric cancer were treated by immunohistochemistry. The expressions of NET-1, FHIT and Ki-67 in gastric cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. The relationship between the expression of these proteins and the prognosis of patients was observed. Results The average postoperative survival time of patients with NET-1, FHIT and Ki-67 negative expression was 65.1, 26.9 and 70.1 months, respectively. The mean postoperative survival time of patients in positive expression group was 26.6, 39.2 and 30.1 months respectively. The survival time of patients with NET-1 and Ki-67 positive group was shorter than that of negative group (P <0.05). The survival time of patients with FHIT positive group was higher than that of negative group (P <0.05). Conclusions The expressions of NET-1, FHIT and Ki-67 are closely related to the prognosis of patients with gastric adenocarcinoma, which is of great significance for the analysis of biological behavior and prognosis of gastric cancer.
