商品名称同广告词一样,是以推动商品的销售为目的。虽然品牌的外在表现只是一个名字、一个标志。然而它对于商品的销售情况与知名度是紧紧相连的,所以几乎所有商家都格外重视其商品的名称。近年来,国内外许多学者对于品牌的命名策略都进行了大量的研究。本文介绍了一些主要的英译策略,从市场上一些知名的品牌开始着手,对其命名策略进行分析,并从翻译的方法角度阐述英译策略。希望通过此次研究与阐述,使读者以及商家能够在上品名称中英译方面获益。
The same as advertising, product name is to promote the sale of goods for the purpose. Although the brand’s external performance is just a name, a sign. However, it is closely related to the sales of goods and popularity, so almost all businesses are paying special attention to the name of their products. In recent years, many scholars both at home and abroad have done a lot of research on the brand naming strategy. This article describes some of the major English translation strategies, starting with some well-known brands in the market, analyzing their naming strategies, and explicating the strategy of English translation from the perspective of translation methods.
