汉语规范型词典的中心任务是确定现代汉语词汇规范。为实现这一任务，它在收词上必须全面反映普通话的词汇体系；正确体现词汇规范的原则；还要兼收部分常见的专科词语、文言词语和方言词语，以满足查考的需要。
The central task of the Chinese normative dictionary is to determine the norms of modern Chinese vocabulary. In order to accomplish this task, it must fully reflect the vocabulary system of mandarin in terms of collecting words, correctly reflect the principles of lexical norms, and also incorporate some common specialties, classical words and dialects in order to meet the needs of investigation.
