The Islamic traditional civilization and the process of Middle East modernization have inherent logical and historical links. The specific historical background of Islamic traditional civilization determines the special course of modernization in the Middle East that distinguishes itself from the modernization in many other regions. The non-nationalization movement of land ownership, the dilution of social boundaries between Muslims and non-Muslims and the convergence of legal status, the rise of modern nation states and the practice of nationalism, totalitarianism and state capitalism mark a milestone in the Middle East modernization process. . Secularization is not an essential part of modernization. The so-called secularism and Islamism have different historical connotations in different historical periods. The transplanting of the constitutional system in the West did not bring true freedom and democracy. The modernist Islamist movement constituted the extensive political participation of the lower middle class people in the Middle East and the important external form of democratic politics challenging totalitarian politics.
