陶行知先生(1891-1946)既是革命家,又是教育家,还是大众诗人。他热爱祖国,热爱人民,毕生致力于教育事业。一九三五年“一二·九”运动以后,他在政治上进一步靠拢中国共产党,接受党的领导,积极参加抗日救国的伟大斗争及民族民主运动。他的教育思想和艰苦办学精神,在今天仍有重要的参考价值和现实意义。为了纪念陶行知先生九十周年诞辰(10月18日),江苏省陶行知教育思想研究会和晓庄师范学校陶行知研究室合编了《陶行知文集》(以下简称《文集》),由江苏人民出版社出版。《文集》卷首有伟大领袖毛泽东同志和老一辈无产阶级革命家朱德、宋庆龄同志的题词手迹,周恩来同志一九四六年七月二十
Mr. Tao Xingzhi (1891-1946) is both a revolutionary and an educator, or a popular poet. He loves the motherland, loves the people and devotes his life to education. After the January 9 Campaign in 1935, he further moved closer to the Chinese Communist Party politically and accepted the party’s leadership. He actively took part in the great struggle to fight Japan and save the country and the national-democratic movement. His educational thought and hard-working school spirit still have important reference value and practical significance today. In order to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Mr. Tao Xingzhi’s birth (October 18), Jiangsu Tao Xingzhi Educational Thought Research Association and Taozhuangzhi Xiaozhuang Normal School Laboratory compiled a “Tao Xingzhi anthology” (hereinafter referred to as “anthology ”), Published by Jiangsu People’s Publishing House.
