At 0530 on July 16, 1945, the first mushroom cloud in human history rose in New Mexico, the United States. Nineteen years later, at 15:00 on 16 October 1964, an atomic bomb was successfully exploded in western China. In the experimental area, a scientist who just stepped into middle age witnessed the spectacular scene of this exciting national prestige. It was too late to erase the joyful tears and took out a notebook from his arms and quickly wrote “East Loud noise ”and“ Shenzhou sun and the moon by light ”magnificent epic. He is Chen Nengkuan, a famous nuclear scientist who made a significant contribution to the development of China’s “two bombs.” For decades, he passed an unusual rough road.
