Hypertension when the occurrence and regression of cardiac hypertrophy depends not only on arterial blood pressure levels, but also by a variety of neurophysiological factors. Adrenergic factors play an important role. This article explores the role of translational enzyme inhibitors in hypertensive patients with ventricular muscle mass, wall thickness and function. The use of enalapril, as a long-acting oral conversion enzyme inhibitor, effectively controls blood pressure without causing significant changes in heart rate, cardiac output, or plasma catecholaminergic levels.
