高嶺土化普遍的存在于酸至中性系列的块狀侵入岩及其脈岩中。特别是当其中富含有較酸性長石的火成岩类时,常常可見到由于热液所影响的广泛发育着的高嶺土化,而基性侵入岩及其脈岩中高嶺土化則頗为少見。最近我在江西一个煤矿区內,見到侵入煤系地层中的基性火成岩类的脈岩中拉長細晶岩高嶺土化的有趣现象。我想簡单的談一談拉長細晶岩高嶺土化的一些主要地質情况和我个人的初步見解。拉長細晶岩呈灰色緻密块狀構造,全晶質等粒狀
Kaolinization is generally found in acid-to-neutral series of massive intrusions and their dikes. Especially when the igneous rocks are rich in more acidic feldspar, the widely developed kaolinization, often affected by hydrothermal fluids, can often be seen, whereas the kaolinite from basic intrusive rocks and their veins is rather rare. Recently I was in a coal mine in Jiangxi Province, where I was able to see the interesting phenomenon of elongated progranite kaolinization in veins of basic igneous rocks that intrude into coal measures strata. I would like to briefly talk about some of the major geology of elongated apatite kaolin and my own initial insights.
