漸开綫圓柱齿輪,用測量公法线长度来控制齿厚,巳被齿輪制造部門广泛采用。由于它不以外圓为測量基准,这样既可提高齿厚測量的精度,又可放松外圓的制造公差,降低制造成本。关于漸开綫圓柱斜齿輪公法綫长度的計算,有些书上介紹按假想齿数z/cos~3β查正齿輪的公法綫长度表。这种方法在小螺旋角的齿輪还可近似应用,而在大螺旋角和大模数齿輪上就不宜采用,会造成很大的論理計算誤差(参閱“机械制造”1959年第8期),对于精密齿輪更不宜采用。
