OBJECTIVE: To initially evaluate the ease of use of Carelink’s remote monitoring system in clinicians. METHODS: A total of 215 prospectively enrolled 215 ICD patients with CIED with Carelink remote monitoring function at 12 hospitals across the country from 2012-01 to 2013-10, with an average age of 62.3 ± 14.3 years, There were 108 males and 107 females. A total of 54 clinicians filled out the questionnaire. To facilitate the analysis, patients and clinicians were divided into 110 patients and 30 implanted pacemakers (PM) and 54 implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) patients according to the follow-up survey of patients with CIED. And 10, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) group of 51 patients and 14 patients. Patients should be routinely followed up 1 month 3 months after enrollment to record the use of time the clinicians were followed up. In addition, patients also need to use the Carelink remote monitor to transmit CIED information at 3,6 months after enrollment to complete Carelink remote follow-up. The doctor’s data was collected at the 3-month Carelink remote visit and the clinician was surveyed at the 6-month follow-up using the Carelink remote follow-up system. Results: All 54 clinicians considered Carelink’s remote monitoring system to be simple to use and easy to use. A total of 147 patients completed a 3-month in-hospital routine follow-up. The mean duration of routine follow-up among clinicians was (14.8 ± 8.4) min. 150 patients completed 3 months of Carelink remote follow-up. The mean duration of Carelink remote follow-up was 8.2 ± 4.6 ) min, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.0001). Conclusion: For clinicians, Carelink’s remote monitoring system is easy to use, simple to operate, highly satisfied and saves time on follow-up.
