Topics in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, 485 pages in total. This book is a new book in the 60th volume of the famous “Applied Mathematics Science” series, published by Spinger-Verlag in 1979. M. Ghil and S. Childress, both of whom are professors at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University in the United States, each contributing to the global theory of climate change and geomagnetic field generators. The book is divided into four parts a total of twelve chapters. Mainly deals with the physical processes occurring in the Earth’s atmosphere, the ocean, the mantle and the liquid outer core. In recent years, the vigorous development of hydrodynamics of the earth has been mainly due to the detection of spacecraft on Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn,
