OPC Unified Architecture简称OPC UA,是OPC Foundation在2008年释出的工业自动化通讯标准技术。目的在整合原先发表的OPC DA、HA、AE等技术标准,完整呈现实时的资料读写、历史资料的访问以及事件与警告的发布等功能。透过可靠的跨平台架构设计让OPC UA摆脱了过往OPC DA等对Windows平台的依赖,让OPC产品从微控制器到IT机房等各式环境皆可布署,完善了OPC资料与事件的传输与互通性。另外,在安全性也提供了Server与Client之间使用者的帐号验证与权限审核机制,保障了服务的隐匿性与信息传送的私密性。
