“高边疆”战略是美国的太空战略 ,而且曾经一度是美国的国家战略。这一战略的提出与实施 ,对世界政治、经济、军事、科技等诸多领域产生了广泛而深远的影响。冷战结束后 ,美国虽然不再频繁炒作“高边疆”战略 ,但“高边疆”战略的精髓却被完全继承下来 ,而且在大力推进新世纪版的“高边疆”战略 ,执意部署导弹防御系统 ,其经久不变的目标依然是争夺制天权。美国新世纪版的“高边疆”战略 ,恶化了中国的周边安全环境 ,严重阻碍中国的统一大业。但“高边疆”战略的发展历程所体现的军民结合、平战结合、以军事高科技带动民用高科技的战略思维 ,对中国制定发展战略、国防战略以及太空战略都有借鉴意义 The strategy of “high-frontier” is the U.S. space strategy and was once the national strategy of the United States.
