Preface The results of the study show that the annual energy used by the United States for comminution operations is about 32 billion kWh. More than half of the energy is used for the crushing and grinding of ores, one-fourth of the energy is used for the production of cement, one-eighth of the energy is used for the processing and utilization of coal, and one-eighth of the energy is used for the processing of agricultural products . However, the current crushing technology has the disadvantage of high energy consumption and low efficiency. The comminution section consumes about 70% of the total process energy (total process energy required to produce a qualifying particle size product), which corresponds to 25% of the total process energy required to produce the copper-iron product,
