首次在河南桐柏地区发现了榴辉岩及相应的高压变质带 .榴辉岩和可能由榴辉岩退变形成的石榴角闪岩呈透镜状产于云母片岩中 .新鲜的榴辉岩由石榴石、绿辉石、石英、金红石、多硅白云母、冻蓝闪石等组成 .石榴石的成分特点和有关的地质温压计表明它们属于低温榴辉岩 .云母片岩由多硅白云母、石英、石榴石和金红石等组成 ,也为高压组合 .榴辉岩及有关高压变质带的时代可能为早古生代 ,与大别印支期高压、超高压变质带不同 .
For the first time, eclogite and corresponding high-pressure metamorphic belt were found in Tongbai area of Henan Province.Eclogite and gabbro amphibolite, which may be formed by degeneration of eclogite, are lenticular in mica schist. Garnet, omphacite, quartz, rutile, polysiliciferous, glaucophane, etc. The compositional characteristics of the garnets and their associated geothermometers indicate that they belong to a low-temperature eclogite. Mica schist is composed of polysilicone , Quartz, garnet and rutile, etc. The era of eclogites and related high-pressure metamorphic belts may be Early Paleozoic, which is different from the Dabie Indosinian and EHV metamorphic belt.
