温斯顿·丘吉尔曾经说过,美国人和英国人是有着共同语言的两个民族。我去的国家越多,似乎越能感受到这句话放在全世界都适用。不管是好是坏,英语已经成了世界第二语言。当秘鲁山区或柬埔寨丛林里的人说出无懈可击的英语时,我总会惊讶不已。不过,我发现口音真的会有很大影响。旅行中欣赏迤逦的风光固然是重点,然而旅途中的一些趣事往往更令人回味。以下这对美国夫妇在柬埔寨的经历就让人忍俊不禁。
Winston Churchill once said that Americans and Britons are two nations with a common language. The more countries I go to, the more it seems to be felt that this statement applies all over the world. English is already the second language in the world, whether good or bad. I was always surprised when someone in the mountains of Peru or in the jungle of Cambodia spoken impeccable English. However, I found that accent really had a big impact. Travel to enjoy the scenery is certainly the focus, however, some of the interesting things on the road are often more memorable. The following is an unpleasant example of the American couple’s experience in Cambodia.
