INTRODUCTION Although Turkey and Greece are allies with NATO, they have maintained hostile relations all the time because of territorial disputes that have historically been caused by the interwoven geographical relationship. Both countries are also members of the European Community. The formation of the EC helped to improve the conflicts in many countries, but the Greek-Turkish conflict did not.
