Objective To investigate the clinical features of multiple organ dysfunction after neonatal severe asphyxia. Methods The clinical data of 19 neonates with severe asphyxia were retrospectively analyzed. Results The incidence of multiple organ dysfunction in infants with severe asphyxia was as high as 100.0%, followed by 63.2% in brain injury, 57.9% in myocardial injury, 47.4% in digestive tract injury, and 21.0% in lung injury. Conclusions The incidence of multiple organ injury in neonates with severe asphyxia is high. Only by strengthening perinatal health care and fighting the time of asphyxial resuscitation can we avoid asphyxia and reduce the asphyxiation damage to multiple organs.
