Objective To observe the effect of endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) on prognosis of elder patients withrnsevere obstructive jaundice. Methods ENBD were performed in 45 elder patients with severe obstructive jaundice. Therndefinitive therapies were performed after relief of the patients symptoms. Results the jaundice and other symptoms werernresolved or reduced in all patients after ENBD .There was only one death in the 15－ 30 days follow－ up. ConclusionsrnENBD is a simple, safe and effective therapeutic option for the management of severe obstructive jaundice in elder patients.
