在“2003年世界开放大学校长会议”上,我们采访了国际远程开放教育界的知名人士,现任联合国教科文组织负责信息技术应用方面的教育助理总干事的阿布杜拉·瓦哈德·罕博 阿布杜拉·瓦哈德·罕博士曾担任远程教育国际理事会(ICDE)的副主席和亚洲开放大学协会(AAOU)主席,1998年至2000年担任印度英迪拉·甘地国立开放大学校长和远程教育理事会主席。他在交流技术、远程教育和多媒体技术应用等研究领域发表了多篇学术论文。2002年他为《中国远程教育》杂志的“国际论坛”栏目撰写了专稿《发展中国家实现终身学习的障碍与策略》。 在访谈中,阿布杜拉·瓦哈德·罕博士更多强调了信息技术的应用要有效地服务于教育,特别要关注信息技术在发展中国家的普及,要建立一种新的文化。他表示,联合国教科文组织正致力于推进教育资源共享与世界开放大学间的合作。
At the “2003 World University Presidents Conference,” we interviewed celebrities in the international distance and open education sector. Currently, Abdullah Wahad Mohambhat, Assistant Director-General for Education for Information Technology Applications at UNESCO, Abdullah Wahad Khan served as Vice President of the International Council of Distance Education (ICDE) and Chairman of the Association of Asian Open Universities (AAOU), President of the Indian National Open University Indira Gandhi and Distance Education Council Chairman. He has published several academic papers in areas such as communication technology, distance education and multimedia technology applications. In 2002, he authored a special paper titled “Barriers and Strategies for Developing Countries to Achieve Lifelong Learning” for the “International Forum” of China Distance Education. During the interview, Dr. Abdullahi Wahad-han emphasized more that the application of information technology should serve education effectively, with particular attention to the popularization of information technology in developing countries and the establishment of a new culture. He said that UNESCO is working to promote cooperation between education resource sharing and the world’s open universities.
