“If officials want to kill someone, they should be comforted.” Dewey, who visited China during the May Fourth Movement, is full of praise for this rapidly changing ancient land, as well as for his life and the intelligentsia who fight against him. In June 1919, in his letter to his daughter, he wrote: “A friend who studied carefully about fifty student newspapers said that the first feature of these newspapers was the large number of question marks, Two features call for freedom of expression in order to be able to find the answers to these questions, a booming doubt that signals a new era in a dogma of established authority and a source of satisfaction. ”
