就目前的科技发展水平看,要彻底揭开书法艺术创作心理过程这个神秘的黑箱,似乎还不大可能。但是,完全可以用现代心理学、现代美学的成果,对古老的书法理论进行探讨和求索。在中国书法史上,理论家们对创作心理进行了艰辛的研究和探寻。他们虽不能象现代的研究者一样,以现代高技术指导下的心理学成果为武器,进行精确剖析;却也凭着书法创作的丰富经验和深切体会,借助敏锐的艺术感受能力,对创作的心理进行生动的描绘。现摘引如次:
