Objective To observe the adverse reactions of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) and to explore the adaptability of ACEI. Methods The incidence of adverse reactions in 392 ACEI patients taking captopril, enalapril and fosinopril were retrospectively analyzed and compared. Results The main adverse reaction of ACEI was cough, with a total incidence of 1 7.3%. It was also the main reason for discontinuation of ACEI. The total number of cough patients needing withdrawal was 51.5%. There was no significant difference in the incidence of ACEI adverse reactions between captopril, enalapril and fosinopril (P> 0.05). Conclusion ACEI is a kind of safe and effective drug, requiring a small proportion of withdrawal, which can be used to the maximum extent in clinical treatment.
