在贵州瓮安震旦系陡山沱组中发现多次均等分叉(至少4次)的微管状后生动物化石,其生活习性应为底栖群居,具有很强的无性生殖能力.内部具横隔板及体腔,显示出与已绝灭的刺细胞床板珊瑚类相似,可能为原始的床板珊瑚.这也是迄今为止在瓮安生物群中发现的比较确切的后生动物实体化石,对于研究早期后生动物的起源和演化具有重要意义.
Microformatous metazoan fossils that were equally bifurcated (at least 4 times) were found in the Doushantuo Formation of the Sinian Ernang, Weng’an, Guizhou Province, and their habits of life should be benthic colonies with strong asexual reproductive capacity. The septum and body cavities, similar to the extinct cymbidium corals, may be the original bedplate corals.This is also the more exact metazoan fossil found in the Weng’an biota to date, The origin and evolution of animals is of great significance.
