近几年,科学家已越来越多地了解到蝙蝠的经济价值和环保价值。在全世界,蝙蝠是农作物和森林害虫的主要杀手。蝙蝠还有利于传授花粉、砖描植物种子,使之在沙漠和森林地医生根发芽、开花结果。一只小棕色蝙蝠1小时内可以捕捉600只昆虫。在美国,43种蝙蝠有半数处于濒危状态,这将使化学农药使用量加大,从而污染环境。1982年国际蝙蝠保护协会成立,目前在全球55个国家中有12000名会员,其目标之一是宣传教育,使更多的人了解保护蝙蝠的重要性和必要性。
In recent years, scientists have learned more and more about the economic value and environmental value of bats. Around the world, bats are the main killer of crops and forest pests.
