Tumor growth and metastasis depend on the formation of neovascularization. Numerous studies show that there is a close relationship between tumor stem cells and angiogenesis. Cancer stem cells may transdifferentiate into endothelial cells and participate in neovascularization. By secreting pro-angiogenic growth factor, matrix-derived factor and Hypoxia inducible factor is involved in the regulation of angiogenesis.
