As one of the most influential Chinese-American writers in the United States, Kingston also successfully applied this unique creative technique in his novel “The Sunwalker.” Exploring the novel’s parody of “Journey to the West” of the classic Chinese classic, especially through imitation of the Monkey King’s plausible paradox by the protagonist, expresses its unique Chinese and Western cultural identity as well as Chinese-Western cultural identity.
