鄂报春(Primula obconica Hance)又名四季报春、四季樱草,原产于我国西南及湖北、湖南的山野中。早在十九世纪末,这种美丽的山野花就被引种到国外,现已普遍栽培,供观赏。在我国南方,鄂报春可种于庭院,在北方则为冬、春季开花的室内盆栽花卉。封面照片是野生的鄂报春,摄于云南省东北部的昭通县小草坝。报春花属(Primula)约500种,均为多年生草本植物,叶基生,花冠高脚碟状或漏斗状,花色艳丽。我国有300种左右,主产于西部及西南部,多为美丽的高山花卉,一些种类分布可达海拔5000米。较著名的报春花属植物还有报春花、藏报 Primula (Primula obconica Hance), also known as the four seasons Primula, seasons Primula, native to China’s southwestern and Hubei, Hunan mountains.
