维生素B1俗称硫胺素，是一种维持正常糖代谢，以及神经、消化系统功能的物质。维生素B1主要存在于种子的外皮和胚芽中，如米糠和麸皮中含量很丰富，有保护神经系统的作用，还能促进肠胃蠕动，增加食欲。饲料单一是引发该病的主要原因。
