提及司马光,人们会自然而然地想起他砸缸救人的故事,然而人们对他在用人上的明智之举则知之不多。司马光当上北宋宰相时,亲朋故旧盈门,甚至连八棍子也挨不着边,以前素不往来的亲友也变着法子绕着弯子纷纷登门致贺、叙旧,拉关系。但有个叫刘安世的门生,司马光在野时曾问寒问暖不断,司马光当上宰相后,不但不登门祝贺,连半封信也不来,而司马光对刘安世非但不责怪,反而赞赏他对自己的疏远。司马光认为亲在野而不亲在位者是君子,亲在位而不亲在野者是势利小人。于是推荐刘安世当了馆阁学士,而对趋炎附势的人则一概未予提拔重用。司马光对亲近者不用,对疏远者提拔的这一做法,在一人得道,鸡犬升天的封建社会,可谓难能可贵。由此笔者联想现在有些领导特别是握有实权的领导,身边前呼后拥,家中高朋满座,门庭若市,溢美之辞不绝于耳。在这些围着领导转的人中,有的是因为工作关系,但也毋庸讳言,当中也不乏投机钻
