在省委省政府的领导和关怀下,在有关部门的支持下,1989年江苏省冶金工作会议于1988年12月8～10日在南京召开。全省11个市、7个县的冶金主管部门、34个企事业单位及特邀代表、机关处室负责同志共84人出席了会议。会议期间,顾秀莲省长,省人大常委秘书长白云同志到会看望了全体代表,并作了重要讲话。陆开元厅长作了题为《优化结构,强化管理,在治理整顿中促冶金工业高层次发展》的工作报告;李三元副厅长、尹惠民顾问分别传达了赵紫阳总书记、李鹏总理在全国计划会
Under the leadership and care of the provincial party committee and government, with the support of relevant departments, the Metallurgical Work Conference of Jiangsu Province in 1989 was held in Nanjing from December 8 to December 1988. The province’s 11 cities and 7 counties metallurgical authorities, 34 enterprises and institutions and invited representatives, departments and offices responsible comrades a total of 84 people attended the meeting. During the meeting, Governor Gu Xiulian and Secretary-General Bai Yun, secretary-general of the Provincial People’s Congress, paid a visit to all the representatives and made important speeches. Director Lu Kaiyuan made a report titled “Optimizing Structure, Strengthening Management, and Promoting High-level Development of Metallurgical Industry in Governance and Reorganization”; Consultants Li Sanyuan and Yin Huimin respectively conveyed General Secretary Zhao Ziyang and Premier Li Peng’s plan for the national plan meeting
