After the 1960s, the production and trade of the tea industry in Fujian and Taiwan developed rapidly. However, by the mid-1980s, the tea industry in Fujian was declining and Taiwan continued to develop. In the process of modernization, the tea industry in Fujian has developed a capitalist mode of production. Due to its superior natural conditions and convenient transportation, Taiwan has faced a large number of market demands, and the production and processing technology of Fujian and Taiwan tea industry is still underdeveloped. There is still plenty of tea export trade. However, due to the lack of institutional support for the development of the tea industry, Fujian’s authorities at that time ultimately led to the weakening of the tea industry in Fujian; while Taiwan has a strong commercial and trade tradition, rulers in Taiwan have also attached importance to the promotion of tea production. Trade, which effectively promoted the development of Taiwan tea.
