For the past 30 or so years, it has not only become a tool for analysis and selection of regulatory policies in many countries, but it has also been a major theme of studies in economics, political science and public policy. The article explores and explains in more detail the origin of the concept of regulatory impact assessment, the internationalization and diversification of practices, and four different analytical perspectives. On this basis, the article predicts the relationship between different RIA perspectives and practices in the future.
