Research on platinum complexes began in the 1960s. When Ros-enberg studied the effects of electromagnetic fields on microorganisms, he accidentally discovered that the culture solution surrounding the platinum electrode can inhibit the fission of E. coli without affecting its growth. In 1969, Rosenberg first reported the antitumor effects of platinum complexes, including Cis-dich1orodiammineplatinum (II), hereinafter referred to as Cis-platine or Cis-DDP. The tumor has the strongest inhibitory effect. Cisplatin is a simple metal centered planar complex (Fig. 1) in the early 1970s.
