醉鱼草,马鞭草科醉鱼草属(Buddleja)半常绿灌木。较耐寒(在上海地区耐绝对最低温-8℃,生长适温为25～30℃,亦可耐39℃高温),抗干旱能力强,对土质要求不严,耐粗放管理,喜阳光充足,在肥沃、排水良好处开花最为繁茂。每年花后要修剪,以保证来年生长旺盛。从春末至霜前一直开花不断,花序大而艳丽,花期长,开化繁茂,是优良的春秋花灌木。上海园林科研所现有3个品种,花色分别为红色、蓝紫色和白色。醉鱼草栽培容易,管理方便,不管群植还是散植,均能形成较好的自然式景观。
