本刊这一期介绍了中国人民解放军成都部队战旗话剧团在排演工作中突出政治的经验。他们在排演工作中吃过不突出政治的苦头,也尝到了突出政治的甜头,从这两方面的切身体会中,他们才认识到排戏必须大力突出政治。一切工作都要突出政治。排戏的目的是为了排出戏来宣传毛泽东思想,为无产阶级政治服务;排戏必须用毛泽东思想指导艺术实践;排戏是集体进行艺术创造的工作,在排戏过程中必然会有许多活思想,要处理各种关系,排演工作怎么能不突出政治呢? 政治和业务的关系是对立统一的关系。政治是统帅,是灵魂。政治统帅业务,业务服从政治。排戏是剧团工作中业务性很强的一个方面,但恰恰在这方面,如果离开了政治,就必然排不出好戏来。政治工作和排演工作之间当然也有矛盾,但解决这个矛盾,决不能挤掉政治工作。相反,要加强政治工作,把政治工作做到排演工作中去,以政治促进排演,才能排出真正的好戏。政治能不能进排演场的问题,并不是在所有戏剧工作者的思想里都已彻底解决了的。希望大家读了战旗话剧团的这篇文章,对政治与业务的关系,提出更多的问题,充分地展开讨论。

Of course, there are conflicts between political work and rehearsal work. But to solve this contradiction, political work must never be squeezed out. On the contrary, it is necessary to step up political work, perform political work in rehearsal work, and promote political rehearsal in order to make a real good show.
