高速高效能的金属压力加工方法的发展与应用,往往加重了模具的荷载,使模具的服役条件变为复杂、恶劣。近年来为适应金属压力加工新技术新工艺发展的需要,从改善模具材料的基体强度着手,曾研制出一些高强度的新型材料,在使用中取得了良好效果。 要做到合理地、科学地使用模具材料,首先,要弄清楚模具是在怎样的状态下参予服役、荷载与受力方式,对模具材料的强度、韧性有什么要求。其次,分析所使用的模具材料的特性,通过热处理的途径,以获得所要求的强度与韧性。此外,还应考虑有良好的冷却和润滑,使模具的强度不致过早地衰减,延长使用寿命。
