The authors came to the hospital from January 1 to February 28, 1997. Two hundred and fifty-five suspected cases of gastric cancer were divided into two groups. One group consisted of 112 patients. The patients underwent conventional radiography and the other group used CCD. -DR system check. It uses a 4-megapixel CCD-DR (digital radiography device based on a charge-coupled device) system and consists of an X-ray generator, an image intensifier, a see-through television camera, an image processor, a monitor, a laser printer, and a CCD unit. The image matrix obtained per second of the system is 2029×2044, and each frame of image will be automatically processed and perfected by several computer algorithms including gamma correction. High-resolution monitors allow continuous observation, and laser printers can also make hard copies of images at any time.
