1987年,美国百事可乐公司雇员人数增加到15万人,销售额突破80亿美元,进入世界大工业公司前70名之列,成为国际食品饮料消费品行业的超级跨国公司。而20年前,这家公司还只是个雇员不足2万人、年销售额在5亿美元左右的中型企业。百事可乐公司能在如此短的时间里,取得迅速的发展,主要原因之一就是该公司注意利用国际机遇,在巩固已有市场的同时,开拓新市场。
In 1987, the number of employees of the American Pepsi Cola increased to 150,000, sales exceeded 8 billion U.S. dollars, and entered the top 70 among the world’s largest industrial companies, becoming a super multinational company in the international food and beverage consumer goods industry. Twenty years ago, the company was only a medium-sized company with less than 20,000 employees and annual sales of about US$500 million. One of the main reasons why PepsiCo has been able to achieve rapid development in such a short period of time is that the company pays attention to the use of international opportunities to develop new markets while consolidating existing markets.
