It’s been a year since the enthusiastic media watchers sorted through the New York Times Innovation Report; in the report, the working group looked at the New York Times digital culture and the traditional culture that thwarted the company’s growth. The New York Times has now fulfilled all the recommendations made in the report by the Working Group, as revealed by Arthur O. Schultzberg at the 67th Annual Meeting of the World Association of Newspapers and Press and Publishing (WAN-IFRA). Alex McCorren, managing editor of Readers’ Development, is one of the most important figures in helping the New York Times make the digital transformation.
