佛学造诣不输玄奘,大字不识却写了一部佛经中国古代,自汉末至满清,董事层(皇室)和员工层(老百姓)一般都是笃信佛教的。而在管理层(即儒生,官僚阶层),却只对儒家的四书五经感兴趣,因为考试只考这个呀。不过,唐朝的慧能和尚,却吸引了更多的知识分子去关注佛法,研讨佛学。有意思的是,这个成功引起了古代知识分子注意的大和尚,却是个大字不识的文盲呢。
