Low-temperature metal nanoparticles are sprayed onto the metal substrate at high speed is called kinetic energy spray (KEM). This method was developed by Inovati College in Santa Barbara, California. In this method, metal particles such as Al, Ti or Cu are mixed with He or N in a powder fluidization apparatus and then sprayed onto the metal substrate at high speed.
