一九九0年初在陕西省西安市西北郊,一农民取土时挖出轻簿“半两”钱一批,约有三千余枚,全部结块,多数尚能分离或辩认,现已分离数枚,见拓片及数据表。这批出土钱币文曰“半两”文字纤细规整,小篆文,与秦文小篆一致,钱外经个别在1.8公分,多数均为2.2至2.34公分之间,内穿多在1.04至1.26公分之间,重量多数为0.6克强,个别0.6克弱或0.7克左右,恰合铢制一铢,厚度均为0.04公分。公元前206年前用的秦“半两”钱重量每枚法定为十二铢。“汉兴”认为秦钱重,难用,一是每枚重十二铢难于零星购买,二是份量重不易携带。这批精制簿型“半两”出土,我认为非民间作坊能制造,应为汉初期汉高祖刘邦统一铸
