曾记得过去发生过这么一件事:一九九八年在杭州举办的首届“中国当代青年陶艺家作品双年展”上,有一位美院老教授指着展品对他的学生解释说:“现代陶艺就是烧坏了的陶瓷。”乍听之下,对我们这些从事陶艺的人来说,当然是一种莫名的打击,但冷静下来仔细想想,对于一门兴起于西方,刚刚引进国门的现代艺术,其表现形式上与传统陶艺的绝然反目,连美院个别教授都无法理解,难怪一般的群众了。但是事后这件事倒让我自己对为展览所作的“序”中所提到的一句话——“现代陶艺是对传统陶艺的一种‘离经叛道’
