In commemoration of the four hundred and seventieth anniversary of the birth of Saturnia, the last issue I wrote some words about the twists and turns of Tchaikovsky’s prestigious fantasy prelude, “Romeo and Juliet” Experience also regretted the fact that he had made some preparations for the creation of the opera “Romeo and Juliet” but failed to come forth after all. “Romeo and Juliet” undoubtedly have been the most widely read and most familiar works by Shakespeare for hundreds of years. However, they profoundly reveal the human nature of their works, their songs of passion for justice and virtue, and the relentless whipping of evil and greed , Romeo and Juliet can not be compared with Shakespeare’s “tragedy of the four tragedies” for the high-level summation of the spirit of the times and the social beings.
