上海分局管区内卫生所、站共有医务人员194名。按职工家属人口平均每千人有1.96名医务工作者。其中医师、医士计140人。每千人有1.41名医生;护师、护士计35人。医护比例4:1。 1988年上海分局管内总服务人口98953人。其中全民职工59842人。集体制职工4307人。家属26575人。离退休职工8229人,分别服务于1474个单位。卫生所、站历年来开展了多种服务方式。为解决偏僻站、工区职工、家属的治疗和预防工作。进行五定(定时、定人、定点、定车次、定工作任务)的巡回医疗,平均每年巡回医疗诊次占总诊次的51％以上,五年来,设家庭病床2863张。
