On the one hand, urban writing in the revolutionary novels of the 1920s shows the urban polarization and polarization between the rich and poor in order to criticize the hierarchical order of urban space by presenting the contrasting urban space picture. On the other hand, due to the petty-bourgeois roots of revolutionary writers in the depth of their ideology and their way of life, urban writing in revolutionary novels will unconsciously invest individual urban sensibilities and reflect the quality of modernity. Making revolutionary novels criticize the city shows ambiguousness and complexity in the contradictory and contrasting narratives.
